Strategy

The card of Seven is the wild card in the Sevens Wild video poker game. The interesting thing is that all sevens are wild cards and can combine with any missing card of a winning combination to fetch a payout. There are certain strategies which can be adopted to increase your odds of winning in Sevens Wild Poker.

Hold a Pair: After the cards are dealt, if you get a pair of cards, always hold the pair. Because, when a wild seven card comes it can combine with the pair to give you a Three-of-a-Kind combination which is a winning hand. At the same time you can also expect another card of the same rank to complete the winning hand of Three of a Kind.

Play Multi Hand: There are three hands, 10 hands, 52 hands and100 hands. You can choose to play multi hands that give you an opportunity to increase your odds of winning in multiple hands.

Play with Bet Max Option: In order to maximize your payouts, you have to bet with the maximum amount of coins. The payouts are maximum in the multiple hands betting. You can get high payouts of 125, 1000 and 4000 coins on Wild Royal, 4 sevens and Royal Flush respectively on the ‘Bet Max’ option.

Play for Royal Flush and Wild Royal: Royal Flush(10, jack, Queen, King and Ace) is the highest paying hand in Sevens Poker. It pays as high as 4000 coins. Wild Royal is a Royal Flush that uses wild card seven. Hold the cards that make up the Royal Flush. If you miss, you can make do with Wild Royal, if you are lucky enough to get a wild seven. Of course a Wild Royal pays only 125, but as they say, “something is better than nothing.

Tips

Video Poker is not a game of sheer luck like slot machines. Many people confuse video poker with a slot machine, and play at it without much thought. Luck always plays a reasonable role in gambling but strategy has its own share of returns. If you play with a good strategy, you can win more, or lose less.

First of all, know your game. Get yourself familiar with different hands and the payouts offered by each hand. See what bonus features are available to add to your riches. It’s not a bad idea to play the game without wagers for some time before betting real money. To quote a military commander, “More sweat in training, less blood in battlefield.”

Have a good look at your cards. Hold the cards that you think can fetch you a winning hand. It may prove strategic to discard all your cards if you doubt whether they would make winning hand. You may get lucky enough to get another set of five cards that provide a winning hand.

Never discard your wild cards. They come in real handy to make a winning hand.

Go for small payouts. Stay away from clicking ‘yes’ again and again in the bonus round.

Hope for the best and prepare for the worst. You should aim to win, but at the same time prepare yourself to lose as well.

Decide a limit on your wagers, and then stick to it. Games like Blackjack rely heavily on card counting systems and can give you an edge over the house. Luck, however, plays a heavy hand, especially when you are unable to count the cards. Always gamble responsibly.

Histroy

The first Video Poker machine was produced by Si Redd’s Coin Machines (SIRCOMA) at the same time when personal computers were being developed. It was based on the theory of a slot machine.

A TV-like monitor was connected with a microprocessor and it looked much the same as an interactive kiosk. There were coin slots to put coins in and a currency detector was always there to validate the coins inserted.

People liked playing video poker because unlike one-armed bandits (slot machines), it gave them the choice of cards. Besides, people could play multiple hands at once, which accelerated their speed of playing and winning.

Soon, video poker made it to reputed casinos and more and more people started using them.
