The Perfect Pairs Blackjack Card Game has three payouts for the pair bet. You’ll get a payout of 1 to 5 for a simple pair of different colors. For the pair of the same color, you can win 1 to 10 times your bet. Once you get the ‘Perfect Pair’ of the same rank and suit, the payout is up to 30 times! How to play

BJ +Perfect Pairs is another version of the ever popular Blackjack with an added feature of a side bet. The side bet provides for a wager that the first hand is a ‘pair’ (any two cards of the same rank).

The game is played with six-decks of cards, which increases the number of pairs. This increases the probability of coming across “perfect pairs” and making the game more enticing with more odds. A “perfect pair” is two identical cards. For example, two aces of spades. While a “colored pair” is two cards of the same rank and color such as the ace of spades and ace of clubs.

Besides this bonus feature, the way you play the game amounts up the same as the classic Black Jack. You are dealt two cards face up and the dealer is dealt two cards, one face down and one face up. The goal of Perfect Pairs Blackjack is to get closer to 21 points than the dealer without going over 21 points.

Perfect Pairs Blackjack is played in accordance to regular Blackjack rules with an addition of an optional side bet.

Players are paid according to Perfect Pairs Blackjack bets regardless of whether they had won or lost to the dealer.

The aim is to beat the Dealer’s hand by either getting a higher value hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer’s hand going bust. Bet

How the Dealer Plays

The Dealer Hits on any total of 16 or less; and Stands on any total of 17 or more. In the case of the Perfect Pair bets the dealer pays out when players receive the cards and there are pairs amongst the first two cards per each hand.

The Winning Bets remain on the table and they are paid in the end of the game. The Lost Bets are removed from the table.

You win the Perfect Pairs Side Bet when:

  2. Your hand does not exceed and is closer and to 21 points than the dealer’s hand.
  3. The dealer’s hand exceeds 21 points while your hand does not exceed 21 points.

Strategy

Blackjack is one of the simplest table game that’s easy to understand; the whole idea is to win without breaking 21. Perfect Pairs is a blackjack side bet game. In order to win this game, first two cards dealt to you need to be a pair.

There are three different types of pairs:

  • Perfect pair: a pair of identical cards
  • Colored pair: a pair of cards with same value and color
  • Mixed pair: a pair cards with same value but another color

Perfect Pairs bet is made previous to the first deal of cards and has the usual blackjack bet on the same table. This 21 Game has proven to raise game return and is very exciting since it does not affect playing strategy and is not vulnerable to card counting.

Tips

The basic thing about Blackjack + Perfect Pairs is that you can place a side bet on turning up a pair. But remember the side bets can be a little tricky. The odds are low but they can still pay out big, and the lowest payout gives you 6:1 payout for just getting dealt a pair. If you’re adventurous enough to wager a bit on the side, it can definitely pay off because colored or even suited pairs turns up pretty often.

Histroy

Blackajck + Perfect Pairs is a neo version of the classic European Blackjack whose origin can be traced back to a game called Vingt-et-Un (meaning 21) in 17th Century France. Vingt-et-Un involved in receiving a ‘natural’ Blackjack when a player had a hand comprising Jack and an Ace of Spades.

Another root for this classic casino game is the Italian Seven and a Half card game in which the goal was to reach a hand of 7.5 points in a game played with 7, 8 and 9 and the face cards. The value of 7, 8 and 9 carried the value of one while the face card carried half a point. The players lost when they busted the 7.5 value. The term “bust” in Blackjack is supposed to have evolved from this feature.

The many variations of the game literally mutated with the mass migration of Europeans to North America in the 19th century. With the local governance of those times taking stern action against gambling, Blackjack had to go underground. Blackjack resurfaced when Nevada legalized gambling in 1931. It has flourished since then resulting in numerous exciting forms with added features such as Blackjack + Perfect Pairs which can be found in land-based casinos and online casinos games software today.
