How to play

Keno is one of the simplest gambling games. You have to select a bet and get as many hits as possible. The selected numbers are matched with 20 random numbers and if get minimum number of hits, you win money as per the payout table.

As a default option, the system selects 25 cents for you. To select different bet amounts, you have to use the arrows around it. You can bet 1¢, 25¢, $1, $5and $10. The only optimal strategy that can help you beat the house in the game of Keno comes when the player needs to select the numbers from among the 80 numbers on the Keno board.

According to this tactic, if you want frequent wins in the game of Keno, pick up less numbers. But if you are looking for one huge hit select 10 or more numbers in one go. 1) Let’s assume that you select four numbers on the Keno board. Here you have a 30.8% probability of hitting nothing, 20.3% chances of getting two hits and a 0.3% chances that all the four numbers will hit.

The above two examples make it clear that if you pick up less numbers, the odds of hitting more numbers on the Keno board are very high. However, the payouts will be considerably less as well.

While there is no doubt about the fact that the odds of getting hits by picking up 10 or more numbers are very less, the payouts you may get are huge. History

The game of Keno originated in China in 200 B.C. Later it was brought to the U.S by Chinese immigrants. Chinese used to bet on characters -- in a game called ‘cloud’ -- rather than numbers. The word ‘cloud’ meant dew. The word was derived from a poem “The Thousand Character Classic” which was used to teach children to speak Chinese.

Numbers took the place of Chinese characters as Americans could not understand the characters and replaced them with numbers.
