Online Tri Card Poker Strategy

There are basically two types of betting options in the game of Tri Card Poker and the strategy to increase your odds is also centered around these wagering preferences.

The only strategy to play on the “Pair Plus” is the amount of bet that you decide to wager with. Let’s assume that you decide to wager with $2 and you get a straight flush. Now as the payout for straight flush in pair plus is 40:1, you win $80 (40 X 2 = 80) on your $2 bet. On the other hand, if you wager with $5, you win $200 (40 X 5 = 200). So, all you need to do is increase your betting values gradually as you win and decrease as you lose. You can even raise your betting amount to $250 once you have gathered enough credits from the lower bets.

Another important trick can come in handy when you make a decision to raise or fold on your “Ante.” The reference point in the game of Tri Card Poker is Q-6-4. The best trick is to raise your ante wager if you get a hand which is either Q-6-4 or higher, otherwise fold. If you take a closer look at the Poker hands like, flush, straight, three of a kind and pair, you’ll find that all of them are better than the hand comprising Q-6-4.

If you already have a hand with a Queen, you must play if the second card is either 6 or higher than that. If your second card turns out to be 6, then play only if your third card is 4 or higher. Mentioned below are a few instances that can help you decide when to raise or fold your ante wager:

  • You must choose to raise your ante wager, if you get a hand having a K-2-3 as King has a value higher than the Queen.

  • You must fold if your hand includes, J-10-8 because Jack is worth lesser than the Queen.

  • Raise your ante wager, if you get a hand with a Q-J-2 since the value of Jack is higher than 6.

  • It is wise to fold your hand having Q-5-4 as the value of the second card is less than 6.

  • Likewise, you must decide to raise your ante wager if your hand is a Q-6-5 as the value of the third card is higher than 4.

  • On the other hand, it is better to fold if you get a hand with a Q-6-2 because the value of the third card is less than 4.
