History Of Pai Gow Poker Online
The game of Tri Card Poker is played with a 52-card deck between a dealer and the player. In Tri Card Poker you can place three kinds of bets, including the Ante, Raise or Pair plus. While playing on the Ante and Raise bets, your main objective is to get a higher three card poker hand. And your goal on the Pair Plus is to simply bet on the probability of getting a three card poker hand with any pair or better.
Card Values:
- The cards from 2 through 10 in the game are ranked on their face values.
- Jack, Queen, King and Ace are assigned the standard card values of 11, 12, 13 and 14 respectively.
The Ante wager:
The game begins when you place an ante wager. Then three face-up cards are dealt to you and three face-down cards are dealt to the Dealer. If you feel that your cards are not good enough to beat the dealer’s hand, you can fold your hand. You lose your wager on folding the hand.
Raise bet:
On the other hand if you think that your hand can beat the dealer’s hand, you raise your bet with an amount equal to your Ante bet. Once you have raised you bet, dealer will reveal their cards to you. If the dealer’s hand has the Queen or better, they will compare their hand to your cards. The one who has the highest poker hand wins the game. If the dealer wins, you lose both your Ante and Raise bets. However, if the dealer loses, you are rewarded an ante bonus based on the Tri Card Poker payout table (See the payout Chart Below).
In case the dealer’s Tri Card Poker hand does not have a Queen or higher ranked card, they do not compare their hand with your hand. This leads to a push and you are paid 1:1 on your ante wager.
Pair Plus:
You win the pair plus bet when you receive a pair or better in your hand. The best part about this wager is that it is not measured against the dealer’s hand. The payout for this bet is calculated independently based on the rank of the hand dealt (See the payout chart below). However, the pair plus wager is pulled off if you bet on Ante and fold the hand.
When you win:
- You win on the ante wager if your Tri Card Poker hand is higher than the dealer’s hand.
- You also win if you raise your bet and the dealer does not qualify the hand by receiving a Queen or better.
- You win on the raise bet if you draw a Tri Card Poker hand that outranks the dealers hand and the dealer meets the criteria of at least drawing the Queen in their hand.
- You win on the pair plus if your Tri Card Poker hand has a pair.
When you lose:
- You lose your ante wager if you fold your hand or the dealer’s Tri Card Poker hand outranks your hand.
- You lose your raise wager if the dealer draws a Tri Card Poker hand of a higher rank.
- You lose your pair plus bet, if you do not reveal any pair in your Tri Card Poker hand.
