There is only one optimal strategy that can help you beat the house on the Let ‘em Ride Poker table. Based on your three up cards, this strategy will guide you in taking the right decision: whether it is wise to raise or continue without raising your bet on the fourth and fifth card.

For instance, it’s always better to raise your bet if you have only two cards to a straight flush. This means that when all the three up cards are in the sequence with similar suits, you must raise. Let’s assume that your three up cards are A-10-K of spades. This means that if your next two cards turn out to be a Jack and a Queen of spades, you’ve got a straight flush.

Also raise your bet if you have two cards of the same rank because you can get a three-of-a- kind if your fourth or fifth card turns out to be of the same rank as well. For instance if you get a hand of 7-8-8, there is a probability of revealing another 8 thus giving you a three-of-a-kind win. If it is your lucky day and your fourth card turns out to be an 8 as well, you will get a four-of-a-kind which is the third best hand in the series.

You must definitely raise your bet if your hand includes a pair of tens or better.

It’s always sensible to “continue” without raising if none of the three up cards can get you even close to any of the winning hands.
