Hand: In poker or any other card game, a set of cards is called a hand.
Up Card: The card that the Dealer is showing is called an Up Card
Face Down: Those cards whose value is not disclosed.
Ante: The bet you place to begin a game of Poker is called ante.
Bet: Bet is the wager you place.
Raise: The act of assigning more money to your bet is called a raise.
Continue: When you want to see your next card without raising your bet, you continue.
Payout: The win associated with a winning hand or a portion of the jackpot is called payout.
Payout Table: The table that lists all payouts associated with different hands is called a payout table.
Deck: A pack of playing cards is called a deck.
Suit: The cards in a deck that bear special symbols called a suit. Traditionally, there are four suits: Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, and Hearts.
Progressive Jackpot: A special jackpot that increases with every game played. Sometimes it adds up to millions or even more!
