Match Play 21 is based on Blackjack. It has some additional rules, but it is played much the same way as Blackjack. To play Match Play 21 efficiently, you can apply the strategies available for playing Blackjack. And, when you team up your game skills with a betting system, you can effectively turn the odds in your favor regardless of if you’re winning or losing. There are many betting systems available today. Most of these betting systems help you win extra. But what should you do if you keep losing? On this page, you will learn to bet appropriately in a situation where you’re losing.

The Grand Martingale System

This system is based on the famous Martingale System. Grand Martingale system is a negative progression system and can help you recover your losses.

This system requires you to double your bet on a losing hand and add an additional amount to it in order to place your next bet. You should keep following the same pattern until you win. Once you win, you can switch back to a normal betting pattern.

Example
Let’s say you begin the game with a $10 bet. And (God forbid!) you lose. You next bet should be double the bet on your losing hand, which is $10, plus some extra amount, say $2. Your next bet would be worth $22. If you lose again, your bet should be worth $46 ($22 x 2 + $2).

How does this system help you get back what you have lost? Let’s say your bankroll is worth $100. You bet $10 and lose. Your bankroll is worth $90. You follow the system, double your bet to $20 ($10 x 2) and add an additional amount of $5 to it. Your total bet now is $25. If you lose again your bankroll is further reduced to $65. Following the same pattern, you place another bet of $55 ($25 x 2 + $5). Now if you win this time, your bankroll would be worth $120. You began with a bankroll of $100, and ended up with a bankroll worth $120, even after losing twice.

Drawbacks of Grand Martingale System

Grand Martingale system looks pretty impressive. It works, no doubts about it, but that little factor of the “winning moment” is still there. What if the “winning moment” does not arrive as expected. Instead, you may reach the table limit or finish your entire bankroll.

To avoid such situations, always decide on a betting limit and then stick to it. Any gambler may have to face an off day. If you don’t win even after applying the system, stop using it. Leave the table and come back on another day. A betting strategy cannot magically turn you into a rich person.
