Have you wondered why gamblers worldwide prefer playing Blackjack? The reason is a mix of luck and skills at card counting. It perhaps is the only casino table game where all casinos are vulnerable. The goal of the game is get a card total of 21 or closest to 21 to beat the dealer and win the hand. If your card total is more than 21, you bust and lose to the dealer automatically.
Player’s Turn: In Blackjack you take the initiative. To begin, you need to place your bet. Click the chips to place a bet. You can place a minimum of $5 and maximum of $250 bet at our Blackjack table. To remove chips from the table, click the chips.
After you place your bet, click the Deal button. You and the Dealer are dealt two cards each. Your cards are dealt face up, and the card total is called out. Dealer is dealt one card face up called Up Card and another card face down called Hole Card.
Cards from 2 to 10 carry their face value. Jack, Queen, and King are ranked at 10. The Ace can either be counted as 1 or 11, whichever is higher.
Once the cards are dealt, you can choose to Hit, Double, Split, or Stand. Let’s see what these terms are all about.
Hit: When you wish to draw another card, you hit. Click the Hit button to get another card. For example, if your two cards are ranked 3 and 7, you may like to get another card to get a total of 21 or closest to 21.
Double: You can click the Double button to double your bet. You can double your bet on any two cards. However, judge your cards carefully before you double your bet. You may like to double your bet if you get a card total that along with another card could fetch you a winning combination of 21. After you double your bet, another card is dealt to you automatically. Also, you can only double once in a hand.
Split: Blackjack allows you to split a pair in two hands. The biggest advantage of splitting pairs is that it allows you to double your bet in a favorable situation. But you should judge your hand before you split it. Let’s say you’re dealt a pair of Eights. Their total value is 16. Now, 16 may not prove a good number either for a stand or another hit. You may go bust if you draw another card, for you’re quite close to 21. You may lose to the Dealer because 16 is not a winning total either. So, splitting is a good option in this case. You could try your luck and skills at two hands where the first card would be an Eight.
When you split your cards, a bet equal to your initial bet is placed automatically on your second hand. To split your cards, click the Split button. When you split any pair except Aces, you can draw more than one card to make a winning total of 21 or reach closest to 21. In case of Aces, the probability of getting a Blackjack is too high, so you’re only allowed to draw one and only one card in your split hands.
Stand: When you’re fine with your card total and don’t want to hit any more, you can choose to stand. Click the Stand button to do so.
Dealer’s Turn
After you stand, the Dealer reveals their other card. The Dealer will try to hit more to get a hand better than yours. Three things can happen when the Dealer reveals their cards:
- The Dealer wins the hand.
- The Dealer busts and you win the hand.
- The Dealer and you get identical card total and you get a push. Your bet is returned to you.
You Win When:
Your card total beats Dealer’s card total.
You get a Blackjack, which is a combination of an Ace and a ten or the coloured cards, Jack, Queen, or King.
Game Features
Two Hands: You can play two hands simultaneously at our table by placing two bets at the same time. When you click the chips to place your bet, you are given the option to place another bet. Follow the on screen instructions to place an identical or different bet.
Insurance: If the Dealer’s up card is an Ace, the chances are it’s a Blackjack. In this case, you can insure your bet for half the cost of your original bet. For example, if you place a $50 bet, the insurance would cost you $25. Now, insurance pays 2 to 1. It means if the Dealer indeed has a Blackjack, you are paid $50 on your bet, and the hand closes. If the dealer does not have a Blackjack, you lose your insured bet of $25 and can continue playing the hand on the original wager of $50.
Rules:
- Blackjack is a combination of an Ace and a Jack, Queen, or King and it pays 3 to 2, which is 1.5 times your original bet.
- Insurance pays 2 to 1, which is twice the amount of your insurance bet.
- In case of a tie, your bet is returned to you.
- The Dealer must hit a soft 17.
- The Dealer must hit on a hard total of 16 or less.
- Only one card is dealt on split aces.
- The Dealer stands on any soft total of 18 or more.
