Have you ever dated someone you met while playing online poker?
Everyone knows that if you play in an online casino, some places will allow you to chat with thousands of people from all over the world. So this question can’t be somewhat of a stretch, right?
A few months ago, I heard the story of a friend who met her current boyfriend while playing online Bingo. According to her recollection of their story, they have been going out for two years now. They live in different states and meet in person twice a month, spend the holidays together and yes, wedding bells are starting to be heard from far away.
Of course this story made me wonder about it: how reliable are online casinos for dating? I mean, one thing is for sure, if you meet in one, you already have a big passion in common, but really? In a casino?
This is what I know for sure in my personal experience: I’ve been an avid online casino player for years and years and yes, I have met many different men through all of those hours of playing. It did happen that I ended up chatting more with some guys than others and I have actually made three new friends through this source. However, our chats ALWAYS revolved around the game. Two of these friends have come to Vegas at different moments and we have shared a few cool nights of dining and gambling. But, further than that, and believe me that I’m being honest; I have not ever sought nor found love through my game. Now, this could be due to the fact that I take my gambling VERY SERIOUSLY and never thought of finding love where I play and make part of my monthly income. Another option is that since I’m so focused on my gambling goal, male players have not felt welcomed to even pursue a pick-up line with me.
Pinched with curiosity on this subject, I started an online search for dating in online casinos and I found nothing. No forums, no websites, no articles; nothing on the subject. The only similar thing I found was a dating site for video game lovers. I was a bit disappointed! I was hoping to find exciting stories to write to you about, already imagining romantic set ups or fancy trips to Rio de Janeiro to meet ones lover.
My last resource to find if this new fantasy of mine can be real, besides the romantic story I already told you about, is to ask you if you yourself have met a partner through an online casino or if you know someone who did. Come on, there has to be more people who have. Such a big globe, so many people gambling online, please give me more casino love stories for us to enjoy!
