Online Blackjack Rules

Blackjack is one of the simpler games among online casino games, but it requires a high degree of skills to win.

Your goal in online Blackjack is to beat the dealer’s hand by getting cards whose value total 21. The cards from 2 through 10 are judged on their traditional face value.  Jack, queen and king hold 10 points each. Ace is counted as either 11 or 1, ensuring that the total does not exceed 21.  In the soft hand, ace counts as 11 and in the hard hand, ace counts as 1.

The game starts with two cards each being dealt out to you and the dealer. Both the cards dealt out to you are faced upwards. However, one of the dealer’s cards is hidden. Once the cards have been dealt out, you can choose to hit, stand, double or split in the game.
If you choose to ‘Hit’, another card is dealt out to you and if you select the ‘Stand’ option, your turn comes to an end. Perhaps that is why it is popularly known as the ‘Hit’ or ‘Stand’ game.

If the total of your hand exceeds 21, it is called a ‘bust’. At this point in the game, the dealer wins the hand. However, if you are dealt cards having the value of 21, you win 1:5 of your original bet. The dealer will continue to hit until his cards total 17 or more. If you choose the doubling option, your bet is doubled and one more card is dealt to you. Splitting option can be employed, if you are dealt two cards of the similar value. By using the ‘split’ option, you can split the pair with similar value, into two hands. At this point in online Blackjack your bet is doubled, as each new hand in split is worth the original bet.

If you are new to online casino games, you will be happy to know online Blackjack exists in both easy and difficult mode. The only difference being, that the difficult mode carries a time limit for decisions to be taken. If you score 100% after 20 hands, you qualify for the bonus round.
